About Craft-Link UK

Craft-Link UK was established in September 2004 by its owner, Louise Aartsen, and associate, Michael Aartsen.

Following the immense success of their event management company, Aartsen Craft Fairs Limited, and in response to the overwhelming need from the craft community for an organisation to support and direct its members, whilst maintaining independence, Craft-Link UK was born.

Louise Aartsen of Craft-Link UK said "Exhibiting at a craft fair is a unique and challenging undertaking. Craft workers put a great deal of time and effort into their work and they need to be sure that the way they access the market and run their business will be a positive and profitable experience. Staging an event is also a mammoth undertaking and event organisers also need enhanced support to ensure the success of their events whilst maintaining a progressive working relationship with their clients.

Having been both an exhibitor and highly successful craft fair organiser in the last year, it became clear that the lack of sensible, impartial and practical advice on how to get the most from the industry was seriously hindering exhibitor and organiser success. Craft-Link UK has been established to facilitate change in the knowledge, attitude and experiences of those involved in this unique business sector and become a resource to encourage creativity."
